Hi everyone! I am Christina, one of the founders of the She Oak Collective. I am originally from the USA, but I currently live in Naarm, also known as Melbourne, Australia. I am a somatic movement therapist, yoga teacher and lover of embodiment. I am here because I want to be in community with other women, earth and myself. I am so excited to meet you all!
Hi! I am Karen, and I am one of the founders of She Oak 2.0. I was born in Brisbane but view myself as a Melbournian as I have lived here for the majority of my life, although I lived for 2 years (at different stages of my life) in Sydney, for 2 years in Auckland NZ, 3 years in Wellington NZ and 5 years in Cos Cob CT USA.
I am a Coach and Energetic Body Worker, and teach gentle yoga, mediation and yoga nidra.
I am here because I love going deeper, and want to be in community with other "weird" women.
I am Sofia. I was born in England, spent my early years in Spain on a farm and then moved into the hustle and bustle of London for schooling before a travel trip dropped me in Melbourne 8 years ago and I never left.
I am a heart failure nurse specialist, and love working with people experiencing their journey with this chronic health condition.
I am also a self confessed nerd with a deep desire to stay curious, enquisitive and open-minded on the world so am often studying something.
I am teaching myself the harmonium currently.
I am here because I met Cristina at a yoga class and instantly feel in love with the way her guidance allowed me to feel present in my body. I have since done other classes on the platform and realised all the teachers hold space in a special way and draw in a certain breed of women-whom I desire to connect with more often.
My name is Alex and I live and work on Bunerong Country on the Mornington Peninsula.
I am a Primary school teacher working on curriculum (not in a classroom) and a PhD student researching teacher practice (my own practice) in Outdoor Learning.
I love to read all sorts of books, walk with my dog Sunny and think about stuff.
I am interested in this community because I want to connect with like minded women.
As a woman entering the 'Crone' phase of life (willingly and with great joy) I feel like it is time to explore different ways of knowing and understanding myself, my community, the Earth and She Oak landed in my Inbox like a gift from the Universe.
Thank you Karen and Christina for this platform and I look forward to connecting.

Welcome Sofia! I am also a nerd, and am curious to hear about your experiences learning the harmonium - it is something I would love to learn too.
