The yoga sutras are a collection of principles of yoga laid down by the great sage, Pitanjali. Though written more than 2000 years ago. These sutras form the basis of modern-day yoga and are essential for every yoga enthusiast and spiritual seeker. Maharishi Pitanjali was a highly talented and intellectual ancient scientist. He wrote many texts on medicine, language and grammar. He was one of the 18 classical Tamil siddhars, and a realized being. But he is probably most widely known as the “father of modern yoga” – not because he originated yoga, but because he distilled the essence of yoga into the famous Yoga Sutras. He gave a scientific document to this planet know as yoga sutras. He has imparted his knowledge in the form of small sutras which are self-explanatory and have deep meaning to them. These sutras are not the philosophy, the ancient text in Sanskrit explains the way of our being, a guide for our journey remembering of who we are. Let's understand the subtitles of yoga and discover the way of bring through it. In this workshop we will learn to read the ancient verses in Sanskrit and learn the meaning by diving deep into it's purest and simplest form. The aim of pitanjali yoga sutras is to free man from the matter. Mind is highest form of matter , freed from this matter a person can become pure being.
